Scenario Encore - Three Quarter Ton IOR Yacht - Blackpool and Fleetwood Yacht Club

Scenario Encore - is a Rob Humphries one off Three Quarter Ton Yacht pictured here in 2012 on Lake Windermere taking part in the Lake Windermere Winter Series 2012-2013 organised by Windermere Cruising Association. This event is open to yachts from other clubs with winter mornings available.
The owners previous yachts were called Scenario and Scenario Act Two both yachts can be seen on this blogsite it is interesting to see how these yachts have developed over the years from the late 1970s to this hot looking racing machine Scenario Encore probably one of the last few IOR Three Quarter Ton Yachts to be designed.
There used to be a large and highly competive fleet of Three Quarter Ton yachts at Blackpool and Fleetwood Yacht Club, Lancashire, Britain. The Yacht Club organises a yearly event called THE DASH for Quarter Ton Yachts , Half Ton Yachts, Three Quarter Ton Yachts and other yachts like sports boats etc......... The Dash is a race from Fleetwood Marina up and down the tidal River Wyre approximately 12 miles and the winning yacht get £1000 pounds. Carmen - Bolero design - IOR 1/4 ton Yacht

CARMEN - Pictured here on a winters morning on Lake Windermere in 2012. The yacht is a Bolero which is a production IOR Quarter Ton Yacht designed by David Thomas. This yacht is from Blackpool and Fleetwood Yacht Club which has had quite a number of these yachts racing there since the early 1980s to the present day. 2 of these yachts are taking part in the yearly Winter Series on Lake Windermere which is organised by Windermere Cruising Association. Mornings are available for yachts from other clubs to take part in the racing throughout the Winter Months.
