Unknown 1987 Fastnet Race yacht
Do you known the name and design of this yacht ?? Pictured here arriving at Queen Annes Battery Marina Plymouth having completed the 1987 Fastnet Race. It look bigger than a One Tonner most likly a Two Tonner or 50ft yacht. ANY IDEAS ???

Panda was designed by Dubois and took part in the 1981 Admirals Cup as part of the team from Bermuda.

Unknown yacht - 1987 Fastnet Race - Plymouth
Do you known the name and designer of this yacht I cannot see any marking on it ??? The picture was taken as the yacht approached the Queen Annes Battery Marina in Plymouth having completed the 1987 Fastnet Race. It may possible be a 1987 Admirals Cup yacht it does look like a One Ton size yacht.

Ritec - 1987 Admirals Cup yacht which was part of the Austrian team pictured here at Queen Annes Battery Marina Plymouth having completed the 1987 Fastnet Race. this yacht is a 1985 Briand designed and One Tonner owned by T Vinke

Information from the present owner
This yacht was only called Ritec during the Admirals Cup.
Before and after the Admirals Cup the yacht was and still is
called POINCIANA
The present owner bought the yacht after the Admirals Cup
and advises the yacht is presently in better condition than
it was in the Admirals Cup.
