SPIRIT OF PENTAX - Sailed around the World none stop against prevailing wind
more than once. Very interesting yacht you will notice the 2 masts and take a look at the pictures below and see how narrow she is. The people next to the yacht you can use for scale say 6ft max height and you will see how tall and narrow the yacht is. The picture was taken in 1982 at Brighton Marina.
Where is this yacht now ?

Dinghy Show 6 & 7 March 2010

Not long before its that time of year again.

DINGHY SHOW
Alexander Palace,
London,

6 & 7 March 2010

Dinghy Show www.dinghyshow.org.uk
or try Yachts and Yachting for information
Yachts and Yachting (Dinghy Sailing Magazine)

At this show which is under cover and all the boats are fully
rigged with sails up including spinnakers/ Asymmetrics.
Almost every active sailing dinghy class in the u.k.is present
and
theres even some keel boats like the Flying Fifteen, Squid
and Laser SB3. This is a great show to visit as its possibly
the only chance to see so many different classes of boat in
one place and actualy talk to the people who own and sail
them as well as the boat builder.

I wish at some point it would move to the N.E.C. ( National
Exhibition Center, Birmingham ) it would be a lot easier to get to
and less expesive to travel to than Alexander Palace. Only time
will tell if this will ever happens.

Three Quarter Ton Class Association - no class association yet

There does not seem to be a class association yet for the
Three Quarter Ton IOR yachts. I wonder when this class
will reform again just like the other IOR classes are doing.
