Express Crusader - racing yacht - Hamble


Express Crusader racing yacht pictured here on the Hamble River 1980's. The yacht was previously named
Spirit of Cutty Sark and also named Kritter Lady. Do you know what design she is and who designed here ????
Where is this yacht now ?
Is she still racing ?

    Did you find your answer yet? I am currently reading the book of Naomi James' telling the story about sailing around the world with it in '77.

    Gallant 53, designed by Van de Sadt. Largest production fiberglass sailboat in the world at that time. Sailed singlehandedly around the world by Naomi James, the first woman to do so.

    She is currently in the Netherlands in a refit.
