Thomas 1/4 ton. Built with lots of IOR rule stretching. Still racing in the Solent.
ReplyDeleteI sailed her for two seasons. She was built by the Elephant Boatyard at the top of the Hamble river, called needlework because she had a needlework mast and rigging that could be altered to slant it all forward when going down wind. The engine worked for 5 minutes before it overheated. Great fun all told.

ReplyDeletei bought this one last year and still keep and sail it at the club. fun boat. mainly for cruising than racing but she still does well in a race.
